    Where is the Amsterdam Fablab?
As it was the first one that existed in the Netherlands, and the most busy one, I believe this movie is not really reflecting "Fablab in the Netherlands", but is a fablab Utrecht movie.

Don't really see why this is a FabLab 'Utrecht' movie. Just because some examples happened to be filmed there? Where in the story is it not about FabLab Netherlands in general? None of the Labs are even mentioned specifically, except in the credits of where filming took place. Indeed Amsterdam is not in the movie, but the other three labs in The Hague, Groningen and Utrecht as well as the foundation and the mobile FabLab initiative are. Filming on no budget, and with limited time against a specific deadline sometimes restrict logistical possibilities.

Maybe you should look at what IS there, in stead of what's not.

To me the story is a perfect general one, explaining what FabLab is and does. Excellent I think to use as an introduction in schools, workshops etc.

    Hi Elmine,

    This is an amazing task!

While a longer reply is still pending, this is to express my first thought on your efforts. I see this film as a "hunch generator". One of the successes of your efforts is that it demystifies the technology usage. When I saw visitors doing things by hand, that itself was an example of how easily everybody can handle things in fablabs and that the fablabs are not only high-tech places, but they are centers to innovate and demystify.

There could be lot of other points that one could have addressed, but in the time and economical constraints that you had, this is an effort that I should thank you for, not only appreciate!

Another great thing about your efforts is the subtitling without which it would have been impossible for other nationalities to experience the excitement.

Great work Elmine. Looking forward to more such experiences. Do assume my support for things you are pursuing.

what strikes me is that most of the people in this movie who are talking about fablab, haven't even got experience with fablabs and the community. I like no budget movies, but only made with style and respect to the subject and community, thats all. Dont use this movie to show the fablab movement in Holland!

Köbi, now you've completely lost me! So how are the staff of all FabLabs in the Netherlands, as well as the Foundation not part of the community? The images from the FabTables etc. They are the community! It strikes me as kind of odd I never heard of you though.
