It was invited by the Fabulous St. Pauli initiative, a local group that wants to make a Fab Lab in St. Pauli. Their Fab Lab project is part of the No BNQ campaign, which is a citizen's initiative making alternative plans for the future of St. Pauli. Instead of the unlimited gentrification that project developers and city planners have in mind, they try to come up with sustainable alternatives that benefit the inhabitants of St. Pauli.</p> <p>The visit to Hamburg was the second Fab Lab Truck project. We think it was a big succes! Many people visited the Fab Lab and although the Fab Lab was only open for three days, there were a lot of people that wanted to make something. The laser cutter and the 3D printer were running almost continously! Although the number of people that can work in the Fab Lab simultaneously is limited, the number of people that got an impression of what one can do in a Fab Lab was much higher!
